The short version
The tools do their work in your browser. Images you open are not uploaded, there is no account and no database of your activity. What your browser stores locally is listed below, along with the third-party traffic measurement the site uses.
To keep history between visits, the tools write a few small entries into your browser's localStorage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.
| Key | Contents | Cleared by |
|---|---|---|
| colorPickerHistory | Up to 8 colors you sampled with the screen picker. | The history panel's clear action, or your browser settings. |
| globalColorStack | Recent colors shared between the tools (the "Recent Colors" strip). | "Clear All" next to the strip. |
| color_palette_history | Palettes you generated. | The palette history panel, or your browser settings. |
Removing site data in your browser (or using a private window) erases all of it.
The site is static, so it keeps no application logs of its own. Three third-party services are loaded to measure aggregate traffic and page performance. They can see your IP address, user agent and the page you are on, and may set their own cookies. We do not send them any page content, color values or file data — there is nothing like that to send.
Pages are served as static files from Cloudflare's edge network. As with any website request, your browser's IP address and standard request headers reach that network in order for the file to be delivered.
These are general-purpose design utilities. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
